The Reverend Whitney M. Hall, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, is deeply committed to justice, community, and worship. Her journey, marked by significant milestones, includes her academic achievements. She earned her Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Appalachian State University and her Master of Science in legal studies from Grand Canyon University. Her sense of calling towards pastoral ministry during the COVID-19 pandemic led her to Duke Divinity School, where she was accepted and received her Master of Divinity from Duke University with certificates in Preaching and Black Church Studies in 2023.

Currently serving as the associate campus minister for the UNC Wesley Campus Ministry at UNC-Chapel Hill, Rev. Hall is a significant figure in the community. She has made a profound impact by creating Tru Tribe, a new faith community serving students of color, a testament to her dedication and vision. Rev. Hall also serves as the pastor of community life and spiritual formation at Southeast Raleigh Table in Raleigh, N.C., where she attends with her wife, Ah’Lanea Hall. Affectionately known as Pastor Whit, Rev. Hall’s passion for reaching marginalized populations with trauma-informed, life-giving ministry has deeply connected her to her mission.
