The Center for Studies in the Wesleyan Tradition at the Duke Divinity School has sponsored a number of activities to advance the field of Wesleyan Methodist studies. These have included:

• The Summer Wesley Seminar (a four-week program that provides support to researchers in the field and a collegial atmosphere at Duke Divinity School to develop future projects)
• Support for Duke Divinity community members to attend the Oxford Institute of Methodist Theological Studies
• Conferences and events at Duke Divinity that promote Wesleyan Methodist studies
