The Center for Studies in the Wesleyan Tradition has been a source of internationally acclaimed research and support for Methodist and Wesleyan studies since 1979. The center offers courses for both Course of Study and Divinity students, provides access to outstanding research resources for students and scholars of the broad Wesleyan tradition, and supports the production of critical editions of the texts of John and Charles Wesley in print and online formats.

The center also sponsors a range of events that aim to cultivate and advance the field of Wesleyan Methodist studies.

The Center for Studies in the Wesleyan Tradition is constituted of Duke Divinity faculty and associates within the Wesleyan tradition who devote some portion of their teaching or scholarship to topics relating to the tradition, as well as staff who help lead our educational outreach, and invited research fellows.
