Huguenot Road Baptist Church (HRBC) is seeking a Pastor of Music, Worship, and Community who will move our Music and Worship ministry forward by the leading of the Holy Spirit, and realizing the Mission and Vision Statements of Huguenot Road Baptist Church: “Loving, Understanding and Empathizing with our Community . . . and the World” Huguenot Road Baptist Church is a moderate Baptist congregation of approximately 400 families in partnership with five denominational entities; River City Faith Network, Baptist General Association of VA, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of VA, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Global and Baptist World Alliance. Pastoral Qualities A successful candidate will model servant leadership in teams, rehearsals, and worship. This person will demonstrate pastoral initiative and mature interpersonal skills in staff and congregational relationships. The candidate will partner with the Senior Pastor in visitation, outreach, theological priorities, and fulfilling the congregation's mission. Multi-generational ministry to families and the community is a high priority. 

Music and Worship Skills A successful candidate will demonstrate competency in choral conducting and pedagogical skills, with a passion for teaching at all age levels. This person will select music that amplifies Christological themes and scriptural truth. They will demonstrate experience in a variety of worship styles, creativity in worship planning, and technological skills that facilitate online and in-person worship. Integrating choral and instrumental music into the fabric of worship and engaging the congregation in singing are significant priorities. Their leadership should manifest dignity and warmth. 

Administrative Expectations A successful candidate will exhibit time management skills, engage in pastoral concerns, visitation, and outreach to the community through music. This person will be knowledgeable of software and technological platforms that facilitate administrative management and worship. They will develop, support, and encourage volunteers in various music and worship leadership areas. They must be able to manage simultaneous events, plan budgets that reflect their ministry priorities, maintain instruments, and engage in long-range planning. 

Candidate Qualifications A successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in music (BA, BM, BME) and demonstrate prior successful leadership experience for five to ten years. This person will exhibit a theological curiosity and be theologically compatible with the congregation's mission. Important qualities include experience in multi-generational ministry and community involvement. A master’s degree is desirable. 

Creative Aspirations Huguenot Road Baptist Church desires to support and develop the unique gifts that the candidate may bring to ministry, such as musical composition, instrumental or vocal skills, drama, and teaching. The congregation also desires to nourish areas of interest that help the candidate fulfill their vocation more fully through seminars, courses, or workshops.

Associate Pastor

Direct report to the Lead Pastor. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: New Life in Christ Church of Punta Gorda, FL, is an independent church in the Wesleyan-Methodist tradition seeking a full-time Associate Pastor. Our mission is to offer new life in Christ as we seek, shape, and send disciples.

REQUIREMENTS: ● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. ● Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited seminary, preferably from a seminary in the Wesleyan-Methodist tradition. ● Manifest a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a strong commitment to the Christian faith, and support the Christian faith through a Wesleyan understanding of both doctrines and discipline. ● Clear sense of call to ministry and affirmation of call by previous church(es). ● Robust attention to one’s own spiritual formation by practicing the means of grace. ● Track record of fruitful ministry in the local church or parachurch ministry. ● Wholeheartedly embrace the mission, vision, values, structure, and theology of New Life Church. ● Ordination in a Protestant denomination (Wesleyan/Methodist heritage preferred), or ready for New Life Church’s ordination process. ● Must successfully pass a church-specific criminal background check. Director of Youth Ministry

Cypress Lake United Methodist Church is a large worshiping community in the Southwest District of the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. The Church is blessed with a talented lay leadership team and an exciting staff, which includes the position of Director of Youth Ministry. The successful candidate is primarily responsible for building relationships and attendance in youth ministry, and secondarily responsible for special events targeted to children, youth, and families of the church and preschool, as well as the greater community. 

Specific primary responsibilities include overall development and implementation of an engaging ministry for youth from sixth through twelfth grade, including the selection of curriculum, activity planning, and implementation of special events, such as the annual Pumpkin Patch. Specific secondary responsibilities will include development and implementation of events for church and preschool families, with those events also being considered outreach opportunities to the larger community. The candidate will work with the pastoral team, staff, and laity to achieve the mission and vision of the church. The candidate must be skilled at recruiting, training, empowering, and supervising a laity servant leadership team to accomplish these responsibilities. The candidate also must be committed to forming relationships with parents and caregivers. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Evaluate and select curriculum for youth ministry, and procure any needed supplies. With pastoral team, facilitate instruction and plan ceremony for Confirmation on an annual basis. In addition to working within the annual operating budget, lead additional fundraising efforts, including annual Pumpkin Patch. Work with the Director of Children’s Ministry to promote spiritual formation opportunities and special events. Coordinate with staff and laity to plan and implement family-focused events, not only for those currently attending and in programs, but to include community and school outreach to grow the programs. Coordinate and attend camps and mission trips for children and youth. Recruit, train, supervise, and provide resources for volunteers. Prepare the annual budget request for Youth Ministry activities. Maintain files and records for participants and families. Maintain an effective church-parent communication system. Attend weekly staff meetings, quarterly Church Council meetings, and ministry team meetings as requested. Ensure compliance with the Child/Youth Protection Policy, including verification volunteers working with children have a current acceptable background check on file. 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION: Educational, Background & Experience Requirements: Professing Christian; Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Youth Ministry or related field preferred; One (1) year related experience required, with experience in a United Methodist Church preferred; Core Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff. Ability to resolve conflict. Ability to build effective teams. Ability to work with diverse personalities. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary: $50,000 Benefits: Health insurance (with 80/20 employer match for employee after 90-day probationary period), paid vacation time after 6-months of employment, employer-matched retirement plan available after 12-month probationary period. Purpose/Overview of role The Director - Youth Faith Formation is a full-time position who will work to develop events, activities, worship and education designed to engage and foster faith formation in Middle School and High School youth. They will work cooperatively with the Children’s and Adult Faith Formation Directors to develop and encourage inter-generational faith development as appropriate. 

Key Responsibilities • Deliver faith lessons and experiences that enable youth to live their individual and communal lives in alignment with Jesus’ life and teaching. • Provide opportunities for youth to nurture and nourish their faith by serving others through mission and service opportunities locally, nationally, and globally. • Build an inclusive and safe space for community and provide a sense of belonging for all youth. • Make relational connections with youth. • Make personal connections with parents and families through timely communications including but not limited to periodic greetings and announcements. • Meet with parents to encourage participation of their youth in the program. Develop a process to onboard new Middle School youth and their parents. • Work collaboratively with all Faith Formation Team Members to create a continuum of faith formation offerings across age groups, including inter-generational events. • Direct, support and develop part-time Youth Faith Formation staff. • Assess youth programs annually for effectiveness and relevance. • Attend staff meetings; collaborate with clergy and other lay staff to align messaging, curriculum, events and activities. • Plan service projects/trips, retreats (currently 2/year), and special events. • Recruit and train volunteers. • Meet periodically with volunteers and Family/Parent Council members to plan and implement offerings. Budget Responsibilities (Spending authorization) Oversee expenditures with budget allotment for supplies and materials to support faith formation activities. 

Required Qualifications and Skills • BA/BS or equivalent in education, child development, social work, psychology, religious studies. Related education or experience could be considered as well. • Experience in long- and short-range planning and overseeing off-site service projects involving travel and adult volunteers. • Excellent communication, planning, organizational and relational skills with children and adults. • Collaborative work style; willingness to cross-train and be flexible in division of tasks across continuum of Faith Formation with other Directors. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills • MA in Christian Education or MDiv preferred. • 2-5 years of experience working with youth in a church setting preferred.

Main Street Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Interim Pastor to provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our congregation during a transitional period. Ability to lead worship and preach biblically grounded sermons. Comfort with various church administrative tasks. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the church leadership and members. A degree from an accredited theological seminary or divinity school is preferred, but not required. 

Terms of Employment: This is a part-time, interim position, the hours will be approx. 20-24 hrs. per week but will be determined in consultation with the church leadership. Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Associate Pastor/Director for Faith Formation

The Associate Pastor/Director for Faith Formation (FPCLF) will have overall responsibility for overseeing and leading the faith formation efforts at FPCLF with special emphasis on children (Birth through 4th grade), youth (grades 5-12), and their families. FPCLF has a long and strong tradition of Youth Ministry. The Associate Pastor/Director for Faith Formation will have direct responsibility to manage & grow the Youth Ministry and prepare FPCLF for the future in this area. The Associate Pastor for Faith Formation/Director is also responsible for managing and directing the staff members assigned to faith formation. This includes leadership development, coaching, and budgeting of the Children and Youth Ministries. This team will be responsible for the creation and management of integrated and coordinated programs, activities, events and communications designed to further the spiritual development and participation of FPCLF children, youth, and their families into the life of our church. In addition, the Associate Pastor for Faith Formation/Director will serve as the primary pastoral care provider for children, youth, and their families. The Associate Pastor for Faith Formation/Director will also be responsible for active participation in the overall life of FPCLF and our community. This includes strategic Church planning, weekly worship planning and participation, occasional preaching, attendance at Church events, developing collegial relationships with all of Church staff, developing relationships across the spectrum of congregation members, and active community engagement and outreach. 

Structure - This position is a full-time, salaried position and reports directly to the Senior Pastor. Faith Formation includes Children’s Ministry (Birth to fourth grade) and Youth Ministry (grades 5-12). These ministries operate under the umbrella of Faith Formation with shared vision, purpose, and training. Within the Faith Formation channel are the following staff positions: • Associate Pastor/Director (full-time) • Children Ministry (full-time) • Youth Ministry (part-time) 

Responsibilities Overall Leadership • Champion the mission and vision of FPCLF. • Manage and mentor the Faith Formation staff. • Lead Faith Formation to function in a supportive and collaborative role to all other ministries of the church as needed. • Collaborate with Faith Formation staff to set and manage annual goals. • Oversee the budgets for Faith Formation. • Recruit and develop the necessary teams to carry out the Faith Formation of FPCLF. • Develop opportunities to provide training and support for parents in creation of a community of parents. • Develop a presence in the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff communities. • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Senior Pastor. Children’s Ministry • Oversee the Children’s Ministry staff in creating a children’s ministry that offers dynamic programming, sound teaching, and outreach events that share the gospel with kids at FPCLF and in our community and get kids and parents excited about being here. • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where families feel embraced, loved, and supported within the church community and where parents are engaged regarding their faith journey. Youth Ministry • Provide vision and guidance in Senior High and Junior High Ministry. • Identify opportunities for youth to serve and connect with the church body as a whole. • Organize and Lead Confirmation. • Organize and Lead Annual Senior High Youth Group Work Trip. • Develop meaningful relationships with parents through regular communication, pastoral care, and support, and find ways to integrate parents into the life and activities of the ministry. Outreach and Community Engagement • Engage with the wider community, reaching out to young people and families who may not be connected to the church, and actively seek to involve them in the life of the church. • Collaborate with other community organizations, schools, and local resources to support young people and families in need and build bridges between the church and the community.

Worship Leader for Contemporary Service

Purpose: The Worship Leader for Contemporary Worship is responsible for the planning, supervising, directing, and conducting of the contemporary service so that worship is consistent with our mission, values, and theology which is to help people find their place in God’s story. 

Desired qualifications: Demonstrated effectiveness/experience in performing and leading music for contemporary worship services; ability to recruit and retain praise band members; ability to relate well to all age groups; evidence of creativity; and organizational, communication, human relations, and supervisory skills. Accountability: This position will report to the Pastoral team. Status: This position is part-time, requiring an average of 20 hours per week, some of which can be done remotely, when appropriate.

Responsibilities and Duties: Select music for each contemporary worship service, coordinating with the pastor, and provide the Administrative Assistant with appropriate and timely information to be included in the weekly bulletins. Actively recruit, equip, motivate, and retain praise band members and mentor them, both in spiritual growth and development of their musical/technical skills. Rehearse the praise band on a weekly basis in preparation for all performances, and schedule other rehearsals as needed. Direct the praise band at all contemporary worship services during the year. These services shall include those scheduled for Sunday mornings and special services (e.g. Christmas Eve) that may be scheduled by the pastors. Select and order music for the praise band and maintain the expenditure in keeping with the financial policies of the church. Supervise the maintenance of the musical assets and equipment used in the contemporary service to ensure they are in good order. Coordinate and prepare use of video, projection, and sound for the contemporary worship service. Schedule vocalist and musicians for services utilizing our online planning website. Developing mastery of sound system in Fellowship Hall, as well as proficiency using Planning Center, SongSelect, PraiseCharts, and ProPresenter. Other: Attend meetings of Ministry Staff, as feasible. Participate in the life and ministry of the church. Job Type: Part-time (Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week)

Pastoral Assistant for Children and Families

The Pastoral Assistant for Children’s Ministry provides leadership and oversight for the Congregation's ministry to children and their families, including but not limited to the Congregation's current Children's programming: Wee Praise class, Godly Play class and Advanced Godly Play class.

Job Summary: We are seeking a Music Minister who can lead vocally and plays piano or guitar to join our Sunday worship team. The Music Minister will be responsible for leading the music each Sunday morning for our church plant, working with our pastor to facilitate music planning, and being willing to align with our church's tradition and worship style, blending traditional hymnody and contemporary worship music. 

Duties: Ability to confidently lead music as a solo musician through both singing and playing. Collaborate with our pastor to plan and integrate music into worship services. Lead rehearsals for choirs, bands, and other musical groups, as needed. Communicate effectively with team members, the congregation, and the pastor. Oversee setup and teardown of musical equipment. 

Requirements: Experience leading music with vocals and piano or guitar. A commitment to the Christian faith and an openness to the Anglican Tradition. Proficient in playing piano or guitar. Knowledge of a variety of music styles suitable for worship services. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience in conducting choirs or musical ensembles Familiarity with music technology and sound systems Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. A willingness to be active and engaged in our community.
