St. Paul’s residency program aims to shape passionate pastors navigating their first call and prepare them for a lifetime of leading healthy congregations in the larger church. Residents are immersed in all aspects of church life, working as pastoral staff in worship, finance, leadership, outreach, and more, helping to shape their approach to preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. Academic and intellectual inquiry are an important part of this program. Senior Pastor Mark Niethammer leads a regular Core Seminar course consisting of formative readings, discussions, and sermon reviews. Resident pastors receive intentional guidance, support, and insight from all members of the pastoral staff. The two-year non-renewable program offers a full-time salary with benefits.

Trinity Anglican Church in Atlanta, GA is hiring a Church Planting Resident to join our pastoral team for two years (~ September 2025 - August 2027) to be mentored, trained, supported, and sent out to plant a local congregation. Wilshire Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, is accepting applications from individuals who identify with the Baptist and Free Church traditions for their Pastoral Residency Program. This is a 2-year transition-into-ministry program providing immersive experience in both congregational and community ministry within the supportive environment of a teaching congregation. Over the course of their two years the Resident will develop the pastoral identity, theological frameworks, and habits of work and leadership that will contribute to a thriving future as a pastor in vocational/congregational ministry.

Primary Responsibilities: - Assist with planning and leading youth and children’s ministry programs, including Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and weekly activities. - Lead Bible studies, small groups, and devotionals for youth and children. - Organize and participate in special events, retreats, and mission projects, including the annual Fall Festival and Easter Egg Hunt. - Support the development of age-appropriate worship experiences and curriculum. - Build and maintain relationships with youth, children, and their families through regular communication, outreach, and visitation. - Serve as a mentor and positive role model for the youth and children. - Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and worship services. - Assist with administrative tasks, including record keeping and program logistics. 

Necessary Skills and Qualifications: - A heart for ministry and a desire to serve God through youth and children’s programming. - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young people and their families. - Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a team. - Ability to plan and organize events and activities. - A commitment to living out a Christian faith in both personal and professional life. 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Experience in youth or children’s ministry is preferred. - Some theological education/certification.

The Christ Community Pastoral Residency is a two-year mentoring program designed to train and equip church leaders of tomorrow. Believing the local church, as God designed it, is the hope of the world, Christ Community seeks to provide aspiring church leaders at seminary a healthy church environment to learn, grow, and practice ministry after completing their degree. Students selected as Residents will receive tuition assistance in their final year at seminary. Upon completion of his or her degree, each will serve a two-year residency at Christ Community as an Associate Pastor. The Pastoral Residency, a paid position with full benefits, provides a wide range of potential ministry opportunities suited to each Resident’s gifts, abilities, and eventual ministry focus, with multiple opportunities for mentorship available. Second Baptist Church seeks to hire a full-time Pastoral Resident to serve and learn with our congregation for 2-3 years, beginning in late August 2025. The Pastoral Resident will benefit from a nurturing community at Second Baptist, spending focused time during their residency learning to be a Senior Pastor in ministry as they gain experience in preaching, teaching, pastoral care, administration, and congregational organization. The Resident will also be given opportunities to lead in baptisms, weddings, funerals, family dedications, communion, and other pastoral duties such as coordinating care ministries for the congregation. 

The Pastoral Resident should have earned a Master of Divinity degree, will be a somewhat recent seminary graduate, will sense a call to serve as a Senior Pastor, and will have demonstrated the giftedness to excel in this calling. Some ministry or equivalent work experience following seminary is preferred.

Christ the King Anglican Church is seeking seminary students for our 3-year Pastoral Residency. Residents will complete seminary (paid by CTK), work at the church, and be mentored and trained in “things they don’t teach you in seminary.” The experience is designed to equip the Pastoral Resident for a lifetime of church leadership in the Anglican tradition.

The Chaplain is responsible for providing spiritual care to Hospice patients and their families. Demonstrate proficiency in providing spiritual care to persons of all races, ages, genders, sexual orientation, social class, and mental/emotional status. Demonstrate ability for patient/caregiver to lead the spiritual conversation, for the Chaplain to walk alongside him/her in his/her spiritual journey and refraining from sharing one’s own beliefs unless asked to do so by the patient/caregivers. Demonstrate knowledge of a wide range of spiritual resources to support each person’s belief system, provide resources as appropriate, and network with other religious leaders in the community to refer patients/caregivers to these leaders when necessary. Demonstrate ability to work efficiently and effectively within the Interdisciplinary Team and provide insight in the IDG meeting concerning the patient/caregiver’s emotional and spiritual needs Provide spiritual and emotional care to members of the Hospice Staff when requested.

Two-year, Full-time pastoral residency program for first-call pastors in the PC(USA). Candidates should be certified ready to receive a call. This two-year residency is for church placements within the Synod of the Rocky Mountains: Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. The residency focuses on small church ministry and residents will be responsible for traditional activities of ministry: teaching, preaching, pastoral care, leadership, outreach, etc. Synergos residents will benefit from wrap-around support during the two years of the placement that include: annual retreats, colleague cohort, monthly coaching, and more.
