The Duke Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative will host the inaugural Payne Lecture in Faith, Justice, and Health Care, honoring the life and work of the late Dr. Richard Payne.
Dr. David R. Williams, Norman Professor of Public Health and Chair of the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, will give the lecture: “Social Inequities in Health: Opportunities and Challenges for Contemporary Christianity.”
There will be an audience Q&A after the lecture, which will conclude at 7:00 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public. Learn more about the event.
