Polly Ha, associate professor of the history of Christianity, has been selected to deliver a prestigious Langford Lecture, awarded to new or newly promoted Duke faculty.

The event featured The Most Rev. Michael Curry and an international panel of Anglican leaders to promote cross-cultural and anti-racist ministry.

The new formational community will support Asian and Asian-American students, encourage scholarship, and build networks at Duke and beyond.

The Scholarship seeks to promote and support the highest levels of scholarly excellence and innovation at the intersection of Theology and the Visual Arts.

Professors Jeremy Begbie and Norman Wirzba have been awarded the highest honor given to university faculty. 

Former Duke Divinity School Dean Richard B. Hays was honored on Oct. 23 with a celebration of his deanship and the unveiling of his official portrait.

The fellowship, which aims to equip Christians to faithfully engage their vocations in health care, will offer students tuition grants of at least 50 percent for the first year of study.

The $70,000 award will support his work on two new book projects.

Norman Wirzba has received a $40,000 grant from a Lilly Endowment-funded program at the Louisville Institute.
