Job Description:

Grand Canyon Community Church is prayerfully seeking a pastor to shepherd our unique and vibrant congregation at the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park and to serve in partnership with A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP) as its Resident Minister. The Grand Canyon Community Church is a year-round ministry at the Grand Canyon. We serve a diverse community of park employees, residents, seasonal workers, and visitors from around the world. We are a welcoming, accepting, interdenominational fellowship committed to sharing Christ’s love through worship, service, and community life in this extraordinary setting. Our ministry is enriched through collaboration with ACMNP, which equips seasonal ministry team members who serve alongside our church. Introductory information related to ACMNP can be found at www.acmnp.com. Please review the church website at: www.grandcanyoncommunitychurch.org.

We are seeking a pastor who: • Is grounded in the truth of Scripture and passionate about proclaiming the Gospel. • Possesses the temperament, interpersonal skills, and interest in serving and leading in an interdenominational context, without bias towards a specific denomination. • Demonstrates a shepherd’s heart with strong pastoral care and leadership skills. • Can adapt to a dynamic community with both long-term residents and short-term visitors. • Embraces the unique mission field of the Grand Canyon, with its blend of local ministry and global reach. • Has a vision for and willingness to foster the relationships needed to work effectively, wisely, and collaboratively with NPS, concessionaires, and local government. • Can provide spiritual guidance and mentorship to ACMNP seasonal Ministry Team Members as the Resident Minister. • Has the capacity to assist with immediate crisis intervention and mental health support.
