Boykins Baptist Church, located in Boykins, Virginia is currently seeking a full-time or bi-vocational pastor. Duties, according to the applicant’s strengths, will be tailored to the position depending upon whether the job is full or part-time. Boykins is a small town located in Southampton County, Virginia. The church was organized over 150 years ago and has an active congregation of 55 members. Boykins Baptist Church desires a person comfortable with their own moderate theology and called by God to serve our church. 

The Pastor’s duties are to include: *Prepare and deliver effective, biblically based sermons from the entirety of the scripture, *Relate to all ages while challenging our Biblical understanding, *Work with the Deacons, church leadership, and members to serve the church and community and establish a future vision for the church, *Encourage lay leadership in the congregation, *Provide pastoral care for our church members and families through home, hospital, and care visitation, *Support local, national, and international mission causes, *Mentor our youth, *Adhere to the church’s by-laws and constitution, *Oversee staff and perform administrative duties as required.
