Our expectation is that our pastor will become involved with our activities and be supportive of the church’s ongoing missions. The pastor will lead our church by providing strong guidance, enthusiasm, organization, and cooperation with other Christian organizations within our community and with the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee. It is our vision that the pastor become an active member of the community and appropriate community affairs outside the church.

Characteristics of the person who is open to being called to this congregation. On an organizational level, we are looking for a pastor who will be instrumental in leading our congregation in the development of a clear vision which will propel our church forward on the path of growing our congregation spiritually, missionally, and numerically. The pastor will manage the church staff and be involved in administrative matters. On a personal level, we are looking for a pastor who is a compassionate listener, one to whom an individual may come for counsel. We are looking for a pastor who is sensitive to our human frailties, differing personalities and be a bridge builder. Our congregation has a diverse socioeconomic makeup and members of varying ages but predominately middle-aged to senior. Young families and teens are gravitating toward other denominations. We are looking for a pastor who can reverse this trend and erase the stigma of being (affectionately) known as the “Frozen Chosen."
