Job Description:

The Community Development Research Intern will assist Duke Community Affairs in conducting an in-depth follow-up analysis of the Southwest Central Durham Quality-of-Life (QoL) Project, focusing on affordable housing impacts in the Burch Avenue, West End, and Lyon Park neighborhoods. 

This role involves updating and expanding upon prior research to assess property value changes, affordability timelines, and economic mobility outcomes resulting from QoL strategies. The intern will work closely with senior staff and community partners to produce actionable insights that inform future housing and community development initiatives. 

Role is hybrid with flexibility to start and end date. Open to start beginning in the spring with abbreviated hours moving to up to 39.9 hours in the summer months. $500 Housing Stipend in addition to hourly pay available for each full summer month worked.
