Duke University’s Office of Community Development seeks a motivated undergraduate or graduate student to support an in-depth analysis of Duke’s affordable housing deposit strategy in the Walltown neighborhood through partnership with Self-Help.
This internship will focus on evaluating the long-term impact of Duke-funded affordable housing investments, examining economic mobility outcomes for homeowners and the broader community, and assessing the sustainability of affordability mechanisms over time. The intern will leverage historical data and reports, updated neighborhood indicators and support from senior staff and community partners to produce actionable insights that inform future housing and community development initiatives.
Role is hybrid with flexibility to start and end date. Open to start beginning in the spring with abbreviated hours moving to up to 39.9 hours in the summer months. $500 Housing Stipend in addition to hourly pay available for each full summer month worked.
