Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts hosts its fall concert, Cries of Loss and Hope. Directed by Professor Jeremy Begbie, the concert will feature the New Caritas Orchestra and the Raleigh Music Collective. The evening will create a space to lament the hardships of the present and voice hope for the future through word and song. Inspired by biblical cries of sorrow and celebration, the program will include a diverse repertoire, ranging from the Purcell to Latinx, Baroque to jazz, and ancient poetry to contemporary film.

Tickets are required for admission, but attendees can choose the amount they wish to pay ($10, $25, or $50). 100% of all ticket sales will go to support local organizations working with refugees in North Carolina. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
