The Accelerated Program takes advantage of Duke’s Hybrid M.Div. to allow undergraduate/special students at partner United Methodist-affiliated partner colleges to begin earning credit toward their M.Div. while completing their baccalaureate degree, and continue accruing practical ministry experience in their chosen context while completing their theological training at Duke. All told, this will enable them to “take the field” an average of three years earlier than most residential M.Div. students.
