Job Description:

The selected intern would work directly with Housing for New Hope to accomplish the key responsibilities. They would report to the Housing for New Hope Director of Development & Engagement on the Development & Engagement team. 

Housing for New Hope is committed to ending homelessness one valuable person at a time. They are seeking a creative and compassionate student intern or practicum partner to help manage and elevate their social media platforms by telling real stories of impact, building community awareness, educating our stakeholders, and inspiring support across platforms. 

The ideal intern would gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, content creation, and social impact storytelling. Housing for New Hope would be happy to provide learning opportunities, professional references, and structured supervision. Duke Community Affairs will act as hiring manager and work with Housing for New Hope to sort candidate pool. If selected for an interview candidates will receive communications from Terri Hegeman of Housing for New Hope. 

Selected candidate will be paid through Duke payroll. Role is hybrid with a preference for mostly in-person work and allows for up to 10 hours weekly with flexibility to accommodate coursework schedule.
