President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris announced today that Christian Peele, a Duke Divinity School graduate, will join the White House staff as deputy director of management and administration for personnel.

Peele, M.Div. ’08, is currently serving as the deputy lead for operations on the Biden-Harris Transition. Prior to that, she founded a consulting practice supporting operations for social impact organizations. She has also served as director of operations for Stop the Spread at ImpactAssets and also worked as executive director of institutional advancement at the historic Riverside Church in New York. In the Obama-Biden administration, Christian was director of the White House Internship Program, followed by deputy director for White House Operations. Originally from North Carolina, Christian is also a graduate of Mary Baldwin University.
