The Anglican Episcopal House of Studies (AEHS) at Duke Divinity School, along with St Mellitus College in London, will host a conference on future leadership training for the Anglican Communion on July 21 in London, with workshops to follow during Lambeth Conference.
The event is intended for Anglican leaders from around the world who will be gathered in the UK to attend the Lambeth Conference, which takes place every 10 years and brings together bishops of the Anglican Communion to consult on important issues.
Sponsored by the Anglican Communion Office, the July 21 event at St Mellitus College will explore innovative ways of training clergy and lay ministers.
“This summer is a key moment in the life of global Anglicanism. We look forward to helping the bishops prepare for the training of tomorrow’s Anglican leaders and to learning from colleagues from around the world,” said Christopher Beeley, director of the AEHS and Jack and Barbara Bovender Professor of Theology, Anglican Studies. “We are grateful that Duke Divinity School can be of service at this time.”
