Hybrid For Clergy For Students

The Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative and the Office Field Education at Duke Divinity School invite students, staff, and faculty to join the first of three Trauma-Informed Care Workshops for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Hannah-Sutton Adams will provide a workshop focused on pastoral responses to adults who have experienced religious trauma entitled "Recognizing and Responding to Religious Trauma and Abuse." This interactive luncheon will explore what the research says about religious trauma while constructing a theological proposal urging the church and Christian leaders to respond with compassion and play.

This event is free and will be offered virtually. Please register in advance to receive the Zoom link for online attendance.
