The Asian House of Studies and the Historical Division of Duke Divinity School will host Dr. Helen Jin Kim, assistant professor of American religious history from Emory University, to give the lecture, “Billy Graham in Transpacific Context: Race and World Christianity.”
Dr. Kim's lecture will explore questions arising from her new book, Race for Revival: How Cold War South Korea Shaped the American Evangelical Empire (Oxford University Press, 2022), which interweaves conversations from the fields of U.S. Religious History, World Christianity, Korean Studies, and Asian American Studies.
