The Center for Studies in the Wesleyan Tradition is sponsoring a lecture, "Anticipate Your Heav'n Below": The Wesleyan Framework of Pentecostalism, given by Dr. Dale Coulter. The lecture is open to the public. If you would like to partake in the pizza lunch, please RSVP by February 18.
Dr. Coulter is professor of historical theology at Pentecostal Theological Seminary. A medievalist by training, much of his work has centered on the twelfth-century abbey of St. Victor, including a monograph on Richard of St. Victor. His most recent works are The Holy Spirit and Higher Education: Renewing the Christian University (Baylor Press, 2023) and Symbolism and Contemplation (Brepols, 2022), the fifth volume of Victorine Texts in Translation. He also co-edited a collection of essays titled, The Spirit, the Affections, and the Christian Tradition (UND Press, 2016).
The lecture will be recorded and made available to Duke Divinity School hybrid students.
