The Office of the Dean and the Hispanic House of Studies will sponsor a lecture on "Imagining the Future of Theological Education: Looking at the Future of Theological  Education Through the Lens of its Past. Two Past Models Now Joining for a New Future" by Justo L. González Ph.D., Yale, 1961.

Dr. González is a United Methodist retired pastor and a former professor of Historical Theology and World Christianity. He is the author of 150 books, several jointly with his wife, Dr. Catherine G. González.

 Besides his writing and teaching in various institutions: Seminario Evangélico de Puerto Rico, Candler School of Theology, the Interdenominational Theological Center, Columbia Theological Seminary, and others, his work has focused on developing programs supporting Latinas/os in theological studies at all levels.

In these endeavors, he has been part of the founding of programs such as the Hispanic Theological Initiative (HTI), the Hispanic Summer Program (HSP), and the Asociación para la Educación Teológica Hispana (AETH).
