Abraham M. Nussbaum, MD, M.T.S., is the Chief Education Officer at Denver Health, an academic safety net system, and a Professor of Psychiatry and Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He earned a medical degree and completed a psychiatry residency at the University of North Carolina, and his M.T.S. from Duke Divinity School. He is the author of a series of best-selling psychiatric textbooks and a memoir, The Finest Traditions of My Calling: One Physician’s Search for the Renewal of Medicine. He lives in Denver with his wife and three kids, where they all "pull hard for God’s team," the Tar Heels.
