Duke Divinity School will host David French for a presentation on Divided Churches - Divided Nation: Faith, Politics, and the Future of Democracy.

French is a senior editor at The Dispatch, columnist for Time magazine, and contributing writer for The Atlantic. He is the 2022 Pamela and Jack Egan Visiting Professor in Sanford School of Public Policy and the School of Arts and Sciences. His most recent book, Divided We Fall: America’s Secession Threat and How to Restore Our Nation, was published in 2020.

Luke Bretherton, Robert E. Cushman Distinguished Professor of Moral and Political Theology, will introduce and briefly respond to French's presentation.
