Bake and Pray Workshop with Kendall Vanderslice, sponsored by the Creation Justice Coalition, will be an evening of bread-making and prayer. Kendall, a Duke Divinity School alum and founder of Edible Theology, will lead participants through a 2-hour workshop, teaching "cooking show" style and weaving in theological reflection. Each attendee will go home with a finished loaf of bread and a batch of dough.

Blending baking science and technique with theological reflection, Kendall will teach participants how to incorporate bread-making into the rhythms of their busy lives. Whether lifelong bakers or intimidated by the thought of yeast, participants will step away from the workshop with a practical understanding of how to bake bread and a deep appreciation for the ways God can shape them in the process.

Space is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration and a $5 fee serve as a commitment to attend the full event. (A small wait list will be kept in case of cancellations.)

The registration link will be released in the Divinity Digest to students during the Spring 2023 semester.
