In-person General Audience

The Ormond Center will host its sixth Church and Community Collaborative Closing Brunch to recognize nine Hispanic/Latinx congregations from across the state who will share their unique journey of combining faith-inspired imagination with faith-informed action. This celebration will be conducted exclusively in Spanish.

The Church and Community Collaborative is a 6-week intensive learning journey that leverages lived theology, practical insight, and local wisdom to help participants research, discern, and ideate how they can grow the thriving of their communities. Each congregation will give a 10-minute pitch proposal identifying a local challenge they can address with church assets and community partners.

This inaugural Hispanic/Latinx cohort is led by Rev. Edgar Vergara (M.Div. '13), pastor of Gila Mountain UMC in Yuma, Ariz.
