Duke Divinity School will hold a Service of Word and Table on Ash Wednesday with an imposition of ashes. The service will include special musical guest Sandra McCracken, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and recording artist. The preacher will be Dr. Ellen Davis, Amos Ragan Kearns Distinguished Professor of Bible and Practical Theology. The Rev. Dr. Edgardo Colón-Emeric, dean of the Divinity School; Irene and William McCutchen Associate Professor of Reconciliation and Theology; and director of the Center for Reconciliation, will preside over communion, and the Rev. Meghan Benson, chaplain of the Divinity School, will preside over the imposition of ashes. All are welcome.
