Dean Elaine Heath has announced that Jeff Conklin-Miller will assume the role of director of the Methodist House of Studies, effective July 1, 2018.

Conklin-Miller will also continue serving as E. Stanley Jones Assistant Professor of the Practice of Evangelism and Christian Formation, Royce and Jane Reynolds Teaching Fellow, and director of the Master of Arts in Christian Practice degree program. In addition, he will assume the role of faculty advisor to staff and students participating in the Thriving Rural Communities Initiative and faculty advisor to the Course of Study School.

Conklin-Miller will focus on the formation of Methodist students and will assume administrative oversight of Methodist House of Studies, working with faculty colleagues to support and strengthen academic, spiritual, and ministerial formation programs for students in Wesleyan-Methodist traditions. He will also liaise with the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry and other United Methodist institutions and serve as part of the school’s Methodist Connections Team.

Said Dean Heath, “Dr. Conklin-Miller's research and leadership in missional ecclesiology, evangelism, and Christian formation, combined with his strong administrative gifts make him the perfect person to lead the Methodist House of Studies into the future. His extensive connections across the United Methodist Church are an asset, as is his substantial pastoral experience. The Methodist House will thrive under his leadership.”
