Pastores Caminantes is a program developed by the Hispanic House of Studies at Duke Divinity School in conjunction with the North Carolina and Western North Carolina Conferences of the United Methodist Church. Pastors with a heart and passion to minister for and with the Latinx community are encouraged to apply.
Participants gather for a retreat in November, meet four times a year for spiritual formation from a Latinx Methodist perspective, and participate in a week-long immersion to Latin America.
Pastores Caminantes members gather to study the Bible together, discuss texts emerging from the Latinx community, engage in conversation with leaders in North Carolina serving the community, and obtain tools to better facilitate conversations on inclusion and cultural humility in their own contexts.
The deadline to apply for the program is Oct. 15, 2019.
