Duke University Divinity School is seeking applications and nominations of candidates for the Irene and William McCutchen Professorship. The holder of this endowed position will also serve as the Director for the Divinity School’s Center for Reconciliation, effective July 1, 2015. The position is for a regular-rank member of the Divinity School faculty at the Associate Professor level who will teach approximately half-time in a field of scholarly expertise that can be cogently related to theologies and practices of reconciliation. Administrative responsibilities as the director of the Center for Reconciliation include the strategic planning and program development of the Center, as well as convening local and international scholars and practitioners for conversations and scholarship around themes pertaining to theologies and practices of reconciliation. An academic doctorate (Ph.D., Th.D. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is required. Prior administrative experience is strongly preferred. Lay or ordained ministerial experience is desirable.
