Initial findings from research conducted by the Clergy Health Initiative confirm the observation that the pastoral life, though fulfilling in many ways, often contributes to a demanding and unhealthy lifestyle that results in depression and chronic disease, including obesity. The Clergy Health Initiative currently is testing a variety of interventions that may address some of these health concerns.

Alongside that effort, the Initiative has launched a blog, The Connection. This collection of health resources and commentary is designed to identify and tackle some of the issues pastors across denominations commonly face, and to serve as a point of connection among clergy.

Visit the blog to learn more about this effort and join the discussion about actions that pastors can take now to enhance their health.
