WNCC Elders’ Retreat
Holiness and the Renewal of Ministry
Lake Junaluska, N.C.
September 16, 2013 to September 18, 2013
This annual gathering, which alternates between a "day apart" and a multi-day retreat, is an opportunity to celebrate the connection of elders in the Western North Carolina Conference.
The theme for this year’s retreat is “Holiness and the Renewal of Ministry.” In a series of four presentations, Rev. Dr. Jason E. Vickers will help us to contemplate the nature of God’s holiness, to think about where and how we encounter God’s holiness, and to reflect on how we become holy. In his concluding presentation, Dr. Vickers will contend that we can find tremendous freedom in holiness – a freedom that can bring about our renewal and the renewal of our ministries.
Bishop Larry Goodpaster and the conference’s Order of Elders hope that you will set aside these days to remember your call, share in fellowship with each other, and be renewed.
