Life as a graduate student is often a family affair. We’ve collected resources to support children and spouses/partners.

Divinity Spouses Group
Divinity Spouses provides social, spiritual, and educational activities for married students and their spouses with the aim of helping spouses know that they are also important, contributing, and welcomed members of the Divinity School community. Contact the Office of Student Life at (919) 660-3548 for current student leadership.
Child Care
Duke Partnership Child Care Centers offer priority placement to Duke students. Partnership Centers must maintain a four or five star license and be in good standing with the North Carolina and Child Care Services Association.
The Divinity School has an unstaffed children’s playroom in the Gray building and a breast-feeding area in the Women’s Center with a refrigerator and changing table.
Other Resources
Spouses and Partners
Spouses of graduate students can get a Duke ID card, which allows access to recreational facilities, athletic events, and more. Students must bring their Duke Card and spouse to the Duke Card office to apply.
