The Intern for Worship and Student Engagement at Duke Chapel will work with the Duke Chapel ministry team and will be supervised by the Assistant Dean. The intern will offer primary support for the weekly worship services at the Chapel and will regularly engage students both in and out of worship service contexts. The intern is expected to work with the various weekly services at Duke Chapel (Thursday Vespers, Sunday morning worship, and Sunday Evensong), as well as other services throughout the liturgical year, including Blessings of the Animals, All Hallows Eve, and Holy Week services. The intern will have the opportunity to lead a small group with students connected to Duke Chapel and to assist with other student related programs. The intern should be a team player who is eager to work with a large staff at a University Chapel. Students thinking about campus ministry, liturgy, higher education administration, and large church parish ministry may be interested in this internship. M.Div. candidates preferred.
Salary Range: $9500 stipend over 8 months beginning August 21and finishing May 7.
