The Theology, Medicine, and Culture (TMC) Initiative at Duke Divinity School and the Trent Center for Bioethics, Humanities & the History of Medicine at Duke are hosting the second session of the Spring 2019 Theology, Medicine, and Culture Seminar Series. This seminar, titled, “A Faithful and Wise Compassion: When Potions, Pills, and Procedures Fail,” will be given by Joshua Briscoe, M.D., medical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and also in the Department of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine.

These semi-monthly seminars are a regular gathering of faculty, fellows, students, and anyone interested in the intersection of theology, medicine, and culture. Formats include clinical case discussions, invited speakers, colloquia for student research, and discussion of seminal books and articles.
