This year, the lecturer for the Pauli Murray & Nannie Helen Burroughs Lecture will be Sarah Azaransky, Ph.D. The lecture will take place on Monday, March 14th, from 3:30 pm- 4:45 pm in Westbrook 0016. During this time, Dr. Azaransky will both lecture and take Q&A. This event is open to the community.

    Sarah Azaransky, Ph.D. is the associate professor of social ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She is the author of "The Dream is Freedom: Pauli Murray and American Democratic Faith" and "This Worldwide Struggle: Religion and the International Roots of the Civil Rights Movement." She co-authored the application for Pauli Murray's childhood home to be designated a National Historic Landmark. Currently, she is writing about Bayard Rustin for Eerdmans Library of Religious Biography series.
