The Office of Black Church Studies at Duke Divinity School will hold a worship service, community lunch, and evening service as part of the 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture Series.

The series will feature the Rev. Dr. Gina M. Stewart, a pastor, preacher, visionary, builder, mentor, adjunct professor, and "daughter" of Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.  She has led the congregation of the church where she was baptized and mentored for ministry since March 1995.

Stewart was recently inducted into the Martin Luther King Board of Preachers-Class of 2018 (April) and elected to serve on the National Board of the NAACP in 2017. In September 2015, she released her first book titled We’ve Got Next: HERstory in HIStory.

Registration required for the community lunch.

Community Lunch in Alumni Memorial Common Room at 12:30 p.m.

 Evening Worship at the United Baptist Church, 904 Roxboro St., Durham NC 27701 at 7 p.m.
