Duke Divinity School will administer Session II of the 2019-2020 Weekend Hybrid Course of Study. The study program was established by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church as an alternate educational route for persons seeking to serve as pastors in United Methodist congregations.
The study program is open to ministers of all communions and is recognized as the official Course of Study required by the United Methodist Church for licensed local pastors. The session begins with a welcome and check-in at 1 p.m. on Friday. Classes begin Friday at 2 p.m. and end at 9:15 p.m. Classes on Saturday start at 8 a.m. and end at 3:15 p.m. Additionally, there are a few hours of on-line coursework over a four-week period following the residential weekend. Those who are not United Methodist licensed local pastors but are interested in auditing a course should choose the designated check box during the online registration process.
