Artist Ethan Jackson to Speak about his ‘Camera Obscura’ Art Exhibit on Display in Cloister Walk

Artist Ethan Jackson will speak and answer questions about his pinhole camera exhibit, "Camera Obscura," that will be on display in the Westbrook hallway (the Cloister Walk) beginning March 7-8 and throughout the spring semester.

The talk begins in Goodson Chapel at 3:30 p.m.

The art exhibit is sponsored by the Art, Art History & Visual Studies Department at Duke, and co-sponsored by the Arts and Aesthetics Committee of Duke Divinity School. It is one of nine art projects that the committee has been working on for display in in the school over the last year.

The Divinity School Library will host an exhibit of "The Stations of the Cross," artwork  created by Haitian artist John Sylvestri. The Arts and Aesthetics Committee at Duke Divinity School is sponsoring the event in Lent.

Into the Open: Transitions in Journal Publishing

Duke Divinity School and Duke Libraries will sponsor a moderated discussion on open access and journal publishing. The discussion will focus on core questions such as: Who is doing open access? What does it take to start a new open access journal? When is open access appropriate for an existing journal? Where can a journal find infrastructural support? Why open access?

The discussion is open to journal editors, authors, readers, publishers, librarians, and others interested in scholarly communication.
