"Step into the Story of Scripture: 'The Voice' and the New Testament" with David Capes

The Office of Student and Community Life and the Baptist House of Studies at Duke Divinity School will sponsor a public lecture on a new Bible translation, The Voice, which has been published by Thomas Nelson, Inc., the world’s largest Christian publisher.

The lecture will be presented by David B. Capes, Thomas Nelson Research Professor in the Department of Theology at Houston Baptist University and lead scholar on the new translation. He will introduce the new translation and address issues of changing culture, biblical illiteracy, and Bible translation.

Lauren Winner, associate professor of Christian spirituality at Duke Divinity School, was one of the contributors to this translation.
