Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts (DITA) at Duke Divinity School will host a free public panel discussion with David Ford, religious professor of divinity, and Sarah Coakley, established chair in philosophy of religion, both of the University of Cambridge in Britain; and Alan Torrance, professor and chair of systematic theology at the University of St. Andrews School of Divinity in Scotland. 

Panelists will discuss their vision for the future of theology. An audience question and answer session will follow. Advance registration is encouraged.

The panel discussion is part of “Sounding the Passion: Encounters in Poetry, Theology, and Music,” a series of April 9-13 events culminating in the U.S. premiere of the newly commissioned St. Luke Passion by internationally recognized Scottish composer James MacMillan.
