Duke Chapel Organ Recital Series to feature Dorothy Papadakos
The next concert in the Duke University Organ Recital Series will feature Dorothy Papadakos, a renowned international performer and improviser. She will present "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (1932), accompanied on the Aeolian organ.
Papadakos came to international attention as the first woman organist at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City. A member of the seven-time Grammy Award winning Paul Winter Consort, she has received accolades for her silent film accompaniments.
