On Campus

Come experience a day in the life of our community to help discern whether Duke Divinity School is the best fit for your theological education and preparation for ministry. We offer several options for visiting our school, including group and individual visits. To plan a visit, please complete and submit the Duke Divinity School Campus Visit Request Form.

Visit Days

Duke Discernment Days

  • January 20th, 2015
  • February 19th, 2015 - Women in Ministry Discernment Day
  • February 26th, 2015 - Students of Color Discernment Day
  • March 31st, 2015

Discernment Days are for those who are considering seminary for the first time (Master’s programs) and want to learn more about Duke Divinity School. The full day visit includes a presentation by admissions staff, attendance in a class, community worship, panel discussions, opportunities to meet with faculty and students, and lunch.

Admitted Students Day
Admitted Students Day is an opportunity for applicants who are offered admission to Duke Divinity School to visit our community before making their final decision. All admitted students will be invited to participate in the day to be held on April 9th and 10th, 2015.

Individual Visits

You’re always welcome to visit Duke Divinity School! Individual visits are for prospective students and applicants for all programs who want to learn more about us. If you’ve already attended a visit day event or want a customized experience, the individual visit is right for you. All individual visitors will meet with a member of our Admissions team. You can opt to attend worship services, class, or meet with financial aid or field education staff, when available and/or in session.

We look forward to welcoming you to Durham, a vibrant city located in the heart of the Research Triangle Area (along with Raleigh and Chapel Hill). Situated in central North Carolina between the mountains and beaches, Durham offers the best of city living within close proximity to suburban and rural areas. The city of Durham is home to an eclectic mix of restaurants, historical and cultural places, professional sports and recreational activities, and a thriving center for the arts. The diverse settings make it an excellent area for ministry and engagement in the community.

On the Road

Duke Divinity School admissions representatives travel to meet with prospective students at graduate school and seminary fairs, joint recruitment sessions, college campus, and denominational events across the country.
