Chris Brady D’06 has joined The Divinity School’s administrative staff as special assistant to Dean L. Gregory Jones. In the Office of External Relations, Ginny-Len Hazel D’05 has been named director of development programs and Erin K. Collins has joined the staff as development associate.
Shannon L. Conklin-Miller is staff specialist for the offices of the Chaplain and Admissions. Staff assistant Mary Slone will share her time between the Admissions Office and the Office of Academic Affairs. Emily Thompson is staff specialist for Financial Aid and Admissions within Student Services.
Margaret Mathes takes the staff assistant position in the office of Black Church Studies and the Baptist House of Studies.
Tamara L. Kissane is a new program coordinator for Continuing Education. Program coordinator Elayna Illingworth joined Pulpit & Pew August 28. Robert Knebel joined the General Accounting and Finance Department September 1 as assistant director.
The Duke Institute on Care at the End of Life has added three staff members: Shannon Leskin as special event coordinator, Renee Caron as staff specialist, and Merry Davis, who is associate director of programs and projects.
Steve Bahnaman worked with the staff of the Divinity Library during the summer through an internship funded by the Association of Research Libraries. He holds the M.T.S. degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, and has completed his first year as a library science student at the School of Library and Information Sciences, UNC- Chapel Hill. He hopes to become a theological librarian.
Departures included Chip Edmonds D'06, who accepted a development position at Lycoming College; Megan McMurtry D'03, D'06, who is pursuing doctoral studies at Vanderbilt University; Pamela Hawkins, who has returned to ministry in the Tennessee Annual Conference; Gaston Warner D'99, currently serving as director of university & community relations for Duke Chapel; Anne Marie Boyd, who has accepted a job in Duke University’s Political Science department; and Delores Taylor, who transferred to Duke’s Perkins Library System as head of acquisitions accounting.
