Durham’s Union Baptist Church will produce a staged reading of Vesta , a play used to educate audiences and spark conversations about end-of-life issues, at 6 p.m. on Feb. 11.
The Institute on Care at the End of Life (ICEOL) has been promoting the play as a tool for education and outreach since 2006, and, through an exclusive licensing agreement with the playwright, making it available to community and educational groups at minimal cost. A panel discussion led by ICEOL Director Richard Payne and featuring faculty experts from the Institute’s APPEAL training series will follow the Feb. 11 performance.
Union Baptist is located at 904 N. Roxboro Street. The performance of Vesta is free and open to the public.
