On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Duke University Board of Trustees approved the launching of a major comprehensive fundraising campaign. The campaign, known as Duke Forward, will raise support for all schools, units, and programs within the university.
Duke Divinity School has set an ambitious goal of raising $80 million as its part of the Duke Forward campaign. The fundraising priorities for the Divinity School include student financial aid, support for field education placements, new endowed faculty positions, research support, and funding for the Divinity School’s centers, which seek to extend the work of the school to the church and to the world.
Through these fundraising priorities, the school aims to significantly strengthen its financial aid program, expand its world-class faculty, and continue to develop innovative models of service and leadership for the renewal of the church.
The Duke Forward campaign will run for five years, concluding in 2017.
