Does the blood of tribalism run deeper than the waters of baptism? Can Christianity really have any power to interrupt the divisive forces of tribalism and ethnicity?
The Great Lakes Initiative (GLI) is a community brought together by the Center for Reconciliation that includes more than 100 Christian leaders from Africa’s Great Lakes region who have chosen to say “no” to tribalism, violence, corruption, and division and “yes” to new creation.
Join the Center for Reconciliation for a brown-bag lunch session at 12:20 p.m. on April 14 in Room 0013 Westbrook and learn how God is at work in the midst of brokenness in Africa’s Great Lakes region. Dr. Katho Bungishabako, chancellor of Shalom University in the Democratic Republic of Congo and a member of the GLI community, will discuss his work in Eastern Congo.
Drinks and dessert will be provided.
