The Tuskegee Wesley Foundation is a dynamic, energetic and constantly growing ministry established on the historic campus of Tuskegee University located in Tuskegee, Alabama. “The Pride of the Swift Growing South,” Tuskegee University has become one of the top ten Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in the country. It houses accredited academic programs in several of today’s high-ranking career fields such as engineering, nursing, and occupational therapy. Tuskegee is also the only HBCU to have an Aerospace Engineering Program. With the desire to further grow in our mission through Discipleship, Leadership and Faith Formation, the Tuskegee Wesley is currently seeking a full-time Director/Campus Minister.
The candidate we seek is creative, highly motivated, and has a passion for Collegiate Ministry. Grant writing skills are an absolute plus! Qualified candidates must, at minimum, have a bachelor’s degree. Ordination and a seminary degree are preferred; however, qualified laypersons and certified candidates will be considered. Membership in the Pan-Methodist Church is also required.
The Director will report to the Wesley Foundation Board in order to provide leadership in programming, Board development, and fundraising. The Director will also cultivate local church, university and organizational partnerships. Strong preaching, teaching and organizational skills are a must. Candidates should be willing to engage and encourage alumni, student leaders, and interns in the mission, vision and future of Tuskegee Wesley. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated start date is summer 2016.
