Professor Roger Lundin, visiting scholar with Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts (DITA), will deliver a lecture at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 6 on “A Good Man is Hard to Find: Christ and the Poets." The presentation will explore the late nineteenth-century literary-theological crisis and potential responses. The public lecture, part of DITA's Distinguished Lectures series, will be followed by an informal reception in the Alumni Memorial Common Room.

Lundin is the Arthur F. Holmes Professor of Faith and Learning at Wheaton College. His research interests include nineteenth-century American literature, the relationship of Christianity to literature, and modern intellectual history, with a particular interest in philosophy and theology.

Over the course of his spring semester residency, Prof. Lundin will be participating in DITA events, spending time with students, continuing his own research, and teaching a theology course entitled "Nimble Believing: Theology and the Arts in Late Modernity."
