On Friday, Feb. 18, Duke Divinity School will host an on-campus visit day for prospective students interested in its new Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) and youth ministry-focused Master of Arts in Christian Practice (M.A.C.P.) degree programs.

These degrees blend short, residential intensive seminars with web-based distance learning, allowing participants to remain in a full-time ministry context or other professional position.

The visit day will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will feature an overview of the degree programs, a discussion of financial aid offerings, and a sample lecture.  Registered participants will receive dinner and overnight lodging accommodations.

Four other information sessions are planned at United Methodist churches within the Western North Carolina Conference.  These sessions will highlight the scholarship opportunities available for United Methodist students from this conference:

  • Monday, Jan. 24 – 10:00 a.m. at Wesley Memorial UMC, High Point
  • Tuesday, Jan. 25 – 10:00 a.m. at Providence UMC, Charlotte
  • Thursday, Feb. 3 – 2:30 p.m. at First UMC, Morganton
  • Friday, Feb. 4 – 10:00 a.m. at Biltmore UMC, Asheville
