Different Books, Common Word: Baptists and Muslims

Curtis Freeman, director of the Baptist House of Studies at Duke Divinity School, and Abdullah Antepli, Muslim chaplain of Duke University, will show a film and lead a discussion on similarities between Christian and Muslim traditions.

“Different Books, Common Word: Baptists and Muslims” will be presented March 25 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 0012 of the Westbrook Building at the Divinity School. The event also will include dinner as well as the discussion after the screening led by Freeman, research professor of theology, and Antepli, adjunct faculty of Islamic Studies.

The movie shows how Baptists and Muslims in the United States are finding common ground through similarities in both traditions to love God and love neighbor.
